For me, art is what I love to do for me. Its not my job, though I have deep respect for those who devote themselves to an artistic career, and it is not even something I have loads of time to do. But I do love to do it, and I enjoy the idea of having this online gallery to escape to when the real world gets to be too gray... too many hours at a desk can really wear on a guy.
So I'm looking forward to this art community as a way of not only expressing myself through art but also to explore the many talents I have already seen on this site.
Much of the photos I will be uploading are from a personal project of mine that I have been working on over the course of this year. Being a hopeless romantic, I have started a sort of "pin up" project. The pictures are intended to capture the beauty in sexuality. The beauty and sexiness that can be found simply in a facial expression, or the natural outline of a woman's body. The idea is that a woman's body can be a powerfully beautiful thing in and of itself, without stooping to a level of vulgarity.
After a late-night conversation about the beauty of the female body and the power of the look in a lover's eyes, a dear friend of mine, Ms Averill Gill, agreed to model for this project of mine. She understood my objective and is close enough to me to feel comfortable with the idea of these pictures. After doing our first shoot, I realized how perfect she was for this project--her body is not perfect, but she's comfortable in it, and it shows in the way she carries herself.
Well after that little anecdote, I hope you enjoy what I have to offer.

And you never listened anyway,
And that's the hell of it.

I don't think I can take credit for her shyness, willing though she was to pose for these pictures, but I appreciate your appreciation of the way they were shot, all the same!
